- Large kettle or dutch oven
- Kosher salt
- Elbow noodles
- Onion
- Green pepper
- Lean ground beef
- Salt
- Pepper
Ingredients
- 2 cans of tomato juice (46 fl oz)
- 2 bags of elbow macaroni noodles (16 oz)
- 1 green pepper
- 1 yellow onion
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions
- Dice up one onion and one green pepper
- Cook diced onion and green pepper to soften
- Boil enough water to cook 24 ounces of elbow macaroni noodles. Add kosher salt to the water
- Remove diced onion and green pepper from cooking
- Brown 2 pounds of lean ground beef
- Add diced onion and green pepper to browned ground beef
- Add half of the tomato juice to ground beef, onion, and green pepper
- Add strained al dente elbow macaroni noodles and add the rest of the tomato juice (2 cans total)
- Add salt and pepper to desired taste
- Cook until tomato juice has reduced
- Serve in a bowl
